All donations to the Nancy Imlay Edwards Foundation go directly to organizations that are making a major contribution to finding as cure for Alzheimer's and to the comfort of patients, like Nancy, who have this so far incurable disease.
We were extremely lucky to have Nancy's diagnosis and early medical treatment at the University of California, Irvine’s Institute of Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders where a very high level of brain research is being conducted.
The UC Irvine Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND) is internationally recognized for its research accomplishments in age-related brain disorders. UCI MIND is the University’s center for aging and dementia research, with our faculty seeking to understand the causes leading to neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, Lewy body dementia, and Huntington’s disease.
